Step 1: Choose Your Mounting Method

Decide whether you want to hang the target from an existing target stand or secure it directly into the ground using the included stake.

 

Step 2: Set Up the Target

For ground installation, push the stake firmly into level ground and attach the gopher target securely on top. If hanging the target, fasten it to your stand, ensuring it is positioned clear of the frame for unobstructed shooting.

 

Step 3: Perform a Safety Check

Before use, ensure there is a suitable backstop behind the target. Check that the target is stable, properly secured, and unlikely to move during shooting.

1.What ammunition should I use?
Stick to soft point rounds between .22 and 7.62. These deliver the best balance of reactive feedback and long target life.

 

2.How often should I repaint?
Most shooters touch up the face every few hundred rounds. Spray on a fresh coat, let it dry, and the target is ready for another session.

 

3.Do they hold up outdoors year round?
Yes. The rubber is rated from -30°F to +100°F and shrugs off rain, snow, and sun. Covering the targets during long idle periods outdoors helps them last even longer.

 

4.Why pick the gopher over a wider target?
