Step 1: Set up a safe backstop
Place the target in front of a proper backstop, a ballistic wall, berm, or bullet trap. Never shoot without one.
Step 2: Hang or mount the target
Hang from hooks, mount on a T-post, or slot onto a target stand. Make sure it stays flat and does not swing.
Step 3: Paint and check before shooting
Spray the face if needed for visibility. Confirm the target is steady and the backstop is clear.

How does the mini size help with long-distance training?
A smaller target at close range gives you the same sight picture as a full-size target at long range. So a 15" mini at 25 yards feels like a full silhouette at 100 yards. It lets you train long-range accuracy without needing a huge property. Can I use this as a self healing pistol target?
Yes. Self healing pistol targets like this one are great for handgun practice because pistols wear the rubber slower than rifles, so you get maximum life out of each target. Works for both close-range drills and simulated long-range work. How do self healing shooting targets stay usable for so many rounds?
The rubber is built to flex around the bullet as it passes through, then close back over the hole. Self healing targets for shooting stay usable for thousands of rounds before you see real damage. Spread your shots out to get the most life.Do I need a special stand for the mini size?
No. Any target stand, hooks, or T-post works. The mini only weighs 3 lbs, so it's easy to hang from almost anything. Just make sure it stays flat and steady, and always shoot in front of a proper backstop.
